And passed away 12/22.

She was the sweetest ever and is deeply missed.

Here’s what you can expect as your Great Pyrenees puppy develops:

0-3 Months

• Size: Very small and chubby, with rounded features.

• Coat: They have a thick, fluffy coat that is soft and pure white, though some puppies may have patches of light gray, tan, or badger markings.

• Ears: Their ears are small and often hang down, giving them a cute, floppy look.

• Face: Their faces are round with a short snout, and their eyes are dark and expressive.

3-6 Months

• Size: They grow rapidly, with legs beginning to lengthen, giving them a slightly gangly appearance.

• Coat: The fluffiness of the puppy coat is still present, but the fur may start to show signs of thickening and becoming more textured.

• Ears: Ears remain floppy but start to grow in proportion to the rest of the head.

• Face: The face starts to elongate slightly, but they still maintain their puppy-like roundness.

6-9 Months

• Size: By this time, they’ve grown significantly, though they still have some growing to do. Their legs are long, and they may look a bit awkward as they start filling out.

• Coat: The adult coat begins to develop, becoming denser and more water-resistant. Some shedding of the puppy coat may occur.

• Ears: The ears begin to set into their adult shape but remain soft and floppy.

• Face: The face continues to mature, losing some of its roundness as the snout elongates and the head broadens.

9-12 Months

• Size: The puppy is nearing its adult size, though it may still have some growing left. They start to look more proportional and balanced.

• Coat: The coat becomes thicker, especially around the neck, creating a mane-like appearance. The color may stabilize if there were patches or markings.

• Ears: Ears remain large and floppy, complementing the now more defined head shape.

• Face: The face now resembles that of an adult Great Pyrenees, with a strong, confident expression.

Throughout these stages, the Great Pyrenees maintains a regal and majestic appearance, with its coat being one of its most distinguishing features.
